I can shoot all day.
I know I've shown a post like this before, but I still get really amazed at how long I can just stand in plain sight and just shoot away at some kids. I always thought you could "feel" someone looking at you. I guess I must be wrong.

She's up, she's down.
So once again I have new photos to share from our recent trip to NY. This little series is about a couple of girls I noticed from across the street. One was hunched over into the other girls lap. I wasn't sure what was going on, was she sick, was she drunk or on drugs.
A concerned citizen was trying to call for help, I don't own a cell phone so I might as well document what was going on.
For one moment I thought, she's ok, she's up.
Apparently I was wrong.
I then left the scene in hopes to find a bathroom, (Macy's thank you very much) and when I returned there was an ambulance there with the girls already loaded in and ready to take them to what I imagine the closest hospital.

Back to the East.
On top of my game again, photos from New York this year, 2011.
I knew I was only going to get one chance to shoot this lovely lady. Ed asked if I wanted to stop and photograph her again but I said "just keep walking".
Before Ed starting using Google maps this was our means of navigating around town. We have a pretty good collection of paper maps from our earlier travels, and though I'm feeling a little bit of nostalgia here nothing beats "Veg Out" the vegan food/restaurant locater on our I-Phone.
"Momma said knock you out" yep, went there. First one to admit that I am pretty cheesy.
Went and visited Mr. Richardson during one of his fashion shoots. They had a snack bar in the lobbyish area, they had soy and almond milk for smoothies. Pretty cool. I don't think I saw any models eating though, just smoking..
A view from from Mr. R's studio.
Another view from Mr. R's studio. The hotel we were staying in, (the Standard) is on the right hand side of this photo. The elevator for our hotel was over the top dumb.

Driving around Los Angeles.
When Ed and I go up to LA to drop off our film or pick it up I usually do the driving. But on these days for whatever reason,(not wanting to drive up through traffic is the most common deal breaker for me.) I was seated in the passenger seat.
I know, I probably should have tilted the camera down a bit but I really wanted the K sign in the frame and well I couldn't yell at Ed to swerve away so I could get a better shot.
And then to swerve back so I could get closer.
Sometimes photos just need their space.

New York, New Work.
So in the middle of July I was lucky enough to find myself in New York. I was even luckier that the weather was quite mild for this time of year. And even luckier then that I was out there to shoot for All Americans, Bruce Weber's Journal.
Almost like being in HB except that they are holding a banner instead of writing it on their bodies..
As we wandered around the new World Trade Center we happened upon Jeff Koon's Red Balloon Flower sculpture.
