I can't believe people are still checking this site out! But I'm so excited that you are!! So I will start posting again. I actually thought they did away with this..
Anyway, hello!
I'll start off with a selection of photos I've shot over the last year in my swimming pool. I actually had a show at New Image Art in October and I believe Hobo magazine is running a photo essay of the series.

Lomocore hello!
I shot the swimming pool series with my Leica M6, Mamiya 7 II and my Olympus XA. And thank you to everyone else who are commenting! I'll be posting more photos soon.
Hey Deanna. I love this series. The photos make it seem like these people are a different species almost. Can't wait to get your new book. Deformer is terrific!
Side note* I actually wrote you a letter along with a drawing and a photo I took of you and Ed. I mailed it out a couple of months ago but no idea if you ever recieved it. Care to shed some light? Happy Holidays!

Very good Deanna. ;)
Deanna,
This is Jeff from Vancouver. You know, the one whose photo you took at Slam City Jam (back when we hosted it!)
Just wanted to wish you a happy new year and let you know I enjoy stopping by your blog. Your art is always a joy.
Enjoy the warmth of So-Cal.
Jeff
Can't wait to see your photos in Düsseldorf, Germany in April 2009.
A proposal for you.
Interested in potentially contributing to an ongoing project a friend and I are undertaking? It involves cameras and concrete. You attend to the camera business, my friend and I shall attend to the concrete.
Such lovely photos!
xoxo

Dear Deanna,
I have to admit that I've never heard about you before. We have this newly founded club at my university here in Germany, called "The American Studies Club". Interested students meet with their lecturers and professors in order to discuss themes related to American Studies! And we made up our minds to visit your exhibition on May 9 in Düsseldorf!
Although I don't understand much of art criticism, I am looking forward to seeing your pictures. Maybe they awake my love for art!?
By the way: Will you be present in Düsseldorf as well?? It would be very nice to hear what you thought about the pictures in particular as you were taking them!
All the best for you and your career!
Andrea Schlosser
which one is you?
