Growing up I was very lucky to have a brother who was five years older then me and new everything about music. Basically all my birthday and Christmas presents were records that he thought I should listen to, not what I would ask for. Lucky for me he introduced me to Crass. I'm not sure how old I was when I first listened to Penis Envy but that album I feel should be the introductory to music to teenage girls everywhere.
Along the years Bikini Kill and Sleater-Kinney became my sing along driving tunes. Corin Tucker up above.
Sleater-Kinney from a show at the Glass House in Pomona, California. Shot in 2002.
Unfortunately Sleater-Kinney went on a indefinite hiatus.
Thankfully Carrie Brownstein and Janet Weiss have started a new band called Wild Flag. I discovered them on the David Letterman show! I can't wait to see them live.
I also really need to check out/support Crazy Band, I've only heard great things about this band. Jasmin and Jennifer up above, or is it Jennifer and Jasmin? I'm terrible with twins..

From the garage to gallery.
Here are a few photos I shot of Ed painting for a show he was having at Roberts and Tilton in November of 2008.
A portrait of the amazing Miranda July.
And her husband, artist, writer, director, Mike Mills.
Ed possibly getting annoyed of me shooting instead of helping..
Work still needed to be hung.
The show was incredible, I hope you, whoever you are reading this, was able to see it in person.

A fast blast from the past.
So 10 years ago this month Ed and I drove to San Francisco to watch Brian Anderson receive Thrashers Skater of the Year Award. These are a couple of photos from that night.
Chad Muska, Brian Anderson and my man of the hour, Ed.
BA slipping away, Ed and Brad Staba.
Just for the record considering I wasn't able to get a photo of this, after the festivities Ed and I drove Mike Maldonado back to his place that night. Mike and I had to cram together in the front passenger seat as the back of the van was packed full. Mike like everyone else that night was drunk. So drunk that he puked out the window, hitting the mirror and the door. Good times, great friends, awful smells..
